SwagBucks

SwagBucks has been around for several years now, but recently in the past year they have added some new cool features to their site like coupons!!!!!! If you use the link off of their page to print off coupons and redeem them at your local grocery store they will give you 10 swagbucks for each coupon redeemed!! I know right? Amazing!!!

For those of you who don't know what swagbucks is it's a site where advertising is consolidated and you get free stuff. I know advertising can be a pain but in this case it's a good thing because by checking out the adds you earn points which are then redeemed for FREE STUFF!

There are several different ways you can earn the Bucks like using their search engine, taking a poll, signing up for Netflix or even watching videos... sounds pretty easy huh? Check it out at www.swagbucks.com (registration required). After you have accumulated thousands of points (which isn't hard to do) head over to the swag store and find something cool to buy. You can get anything from music to T.V's!

Enjoy!

A coupon site just for your area!

I get questions from lots of family and friends who don't live in the south east that want to have access to a website like southernsavers.com but for their area. Well I have searched the web and have found a couple of sites that offer the same services that www.southernsavers.com does but for your local grocery stores. I am not sure of the exact area of these stores so I will list the websites by the stores. (see below for all stores and just copy and paste the link into your web browser.)

I would highly recommend reading the coupon policy for each store whether you are new to this or not. Grocery stores change their policies randomly and you don't want to be THAT person arguing with the cashier when just the other day the policy said something different so the day of your shopping trip don't forget to review the policy.

For all the newbies.... don't be intimidated. All of these sites offer all sorts of education on couponing. You ever see those letter combinations and have not idea what they mean like BOGO, RP, Q, SS? Well they will explain those as well.

I hope you find this information usefull!

Where can I get coupons?!

Many people ask me where I get all of my coupons. Well I am going to tell you all the sites that I use to calculate such great savings!

#1 -Your local Sunday newspaper. You get some of the best coupons in here although they are scarce.

#2 -Manufactures Websites - For those particular items you always buy. Alot of times they post commonly used product coupons on their sites. Some of these sites may make you register.
Here are some samples: http://www.pgeverydaysolutions.com/ and http://www.campbells.com/ (They also have some great recipies too!)

#3 -Mass coupon sites - http://www.redplum.com/, http://www.smartsource.com/, http://www.coupons.com/, http://www.couponbug.com/, http://www.couponmom.com/, http://www.coolsavings.com/
This is only a short list of MANY mass coupon sites.

#4 - http://www.southernsavers.com/ This site (for those of you in the sourthern region) offers everything you need. You can see sales ads for your local grocery stores AND! it will tell you if there is a printable coupon out there for that product on sale along with a link to that coupon! The site also provides links to other mass coupon sites that I may have not mentioned above. If you are not in the south you can still use this site to gather some coupons but thats the only benefit for you on the site.

#5 - On-Product Coupons - Check your products when you get done using them. Sometimes like on pizza boxes Digornio will have coupons on the inside of the box. Do this with all your products that come in packaging. You'd be surprised at how many coupons you miss.

#6 - Coupon Dispensers - These are at the grocery stores. They are by the promoted products. Collect several of those. Even if you are not going to use them at that time.

#7 - Grocery Store Coupons - Visit your local grocery store website. Some (not all) have some printable coupons. They also sometimes have magazines you can sign up for (totally free) and they have coupons in them as well. These store coupons can then be combined with Manufactures coupons (most grocerers allow this). This would be called "stacking" coupons. I will post a blog later explaining more in detail about that.

The key is to stock pile your coupons that way when the product goes on sale you have coupons for it.

Extreme Couponing 101!

Okay, so I have been asked so many questions about how I learned to save as much money as I do. I wish I could say that I devolped this plan all on my own to really make me sound awesome BUT I can't. I did have some basic knowledge of couponing before I taking the Extreme Couponing class which is not necessary at all.

Here is a link to where the class is offered. Next class is April 10th from 10am-12pm.
www.cathedralofpraise.org and click on "coupon workshops"

It is a FREE 2 hour class but is well worth it. At the workshop the will discuss different types of coupons, how to read them, how to "stack" your coupons and what stores allow the "stacking" of coupons. They also sell those binders to store all of your coupons for $40. I didn't buy one... I just made mine for under $20.

If you choose to make your binder and are having trouble finding the trading card protector sheets thats because no one trades baseball cards anymore so they are hard to find at stores. I have purchased mine at Hooked On Cards in the North Charleston Walmart shopping center and the rest of the supplies at Walmart.

This class will give you all sorts of information. In fact I am going again with some girlfriends because I am sure there is still lots of information that I wasn't able to absorb the first time.

Oh and for those of you who have children... THEY OFFER CHILDCARE! I believe it cost $5 but hey the class is worth it.

For those of you reading this and that don't live in the LowCountry area or the state I would recommend googling "coupon workshops in (enter city and state here)". If a workshop is not available to you then check back here every now and then. I am going to try to blog every bit of knowledge I have about couponing.
