Okay, so I have been asked so many questions about how I learned to save as much money as I do. I wish I could say that I devolped this plan all on my own to really make me sound awesome BUT I can't. I did have some basic knowledge of couponing before I taking the Extreme Couponing class which is not necessary at all.
Here is a link to where the class is offered. Next class is April 10th from 10am-12pm.
www.cathedralofpraise.org and click on "coupon workshops"
It is a FREE 2 hour class but is well worth it. At the workshop the will discuss different types of coupons, how to read them, how to "stack" your coupons and what stores allow the "stacking" of coupons. They also sell those binders to store all of your coupons for $40. I didn't buy one... I just made mine for under $20.
If you choose to make your binder and are having trouble finding the trading card protector sheets thats because no one trades baseball cards anymore so they are hard to find at stores. I have purchased mine at Hooked On Cards in the North Charleston Walmart shopping center and the rest of the supplies at Walmart.
This class will give you all sorts of information. In fact I am going again with some girlfriends because I am sure there is still lots of information that I wasn't able to absorb the first time.
Oh and for those of you who have children... THEY OFFER CHILDCARE! I believe it cost $5 but hey the class is worth it.
For those of you reading this and that don't live in the LowCountry area or the state I would recommend googling "coupon workshops in (enter city and state here)". If a workshop is not available to you then check back here every now and then. I am going to try to blog every bit of knowledge I have about couponing.
